Miss. Beardsley's Kindergarten Class

Spring is here.  The trees are budding, the flowers are beginning to bloom and the kindergarteners are growing in leaps and bounds.  What an exciting and wonderful time of year.  Before we know it, school will be over and we will look back on year of blessings; a year full of learning and fun.

Well, I told you it would happen and indeed it did.  The kindergarteners are all reading.  The children look forward to our reading time in class and can’t wait to take their books home to share with their families.  They actually ask for Reading homework.  They are so excited when they complete a book because it is theirs to can keep and they can read it over and over again.

Remember I also told you that this class was full of energy.  They still are, but what a joy it is to see how they approach every new experience with excitement and enthusiasm.  I have to admit, they keep me hopping, but what a blessing to be energized every day by their excitement.

We have had a full year of wonderful experiences.  Let me share some highlights that we’ve especially enjoyed.  We had the special privilege of teaching a new song that we love, to our friends in Chapel.  We had a wonderful, fun visit from Dr. Yanni who taught us how to take care of our teeth.  In class we’ve “traveled” around the world learning about all of God’s children.  We’ve also enjoyed writing our numbers and letters in shaving cream and creating shapes and letters and words using play dough.  And of course we will never forget the fun we had at our Teddy Bear Picnic.

Although the year may almost be over, we have a lot still to experience in Kindergarten.  We are still learning and growing every day and I look forward to finishing strong in the Lord.  What a blessing!
