Cornerstone Christian School was organized in 1985 by a group of Christian women who attended Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and were convinced of the necessity for a God-centered education for their children.  The school opened in the fall of 1985 for students Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade.  The first year began with thirty-seven students and four teachers.
